Who made this bot?
This bot was made by @cornkobs/@mabariis on twitter.
Why did you make this bot?
The only Jakob bot I found hasn't been running for months, and I wanted to be able to retweet quotes from my Fates husband. Also, I wanted to put my own spin on things.
Where are the quotes from?
Jakob Bot uses Jakob lines from Fire Emblem Fates, as well as some lines from his Fire Emblem Heroes units and some non-canon quotes.
How are you handling mentions of Corrin/Avatar?
Mentions of the Avatar will mostly be kept gender-neutral with "they" pronouns and "my liege" replacing Lord/Lady. Some lines spoken directly to the Avatar will have two versions placed in, one with Lord Avatar and one with Lady Avatar.
Do you include S-support lines?
Only with Avatar/Corrin. However, I have included Lord and Lady versions of these lines where possible.
How does this bot run?
This bot used to run using Zach Whalen's spreadsheet bot method, but changed to the Cheap Bots Done Quick Tracery system in May 2021.
How often will it make posts?
Jakob Bot should post a random quote from the list once per hour, approximately.
Can the bot post images?
No. Any images are posted by me.
Can the bot post replies?
Before May 2021, all replies were manual, and thus very sparse. Upon switching bot method, programmed replies were available.
